Thank you for applying to become a member of the Association of EFT Professionals!

We manually approve all incoming applications to ensure that all practitioners in our organization meet the highest of standards for our profession. Below are the required steps for completing the application process:

Completion of EFT Practitioner Training Levels 1 and 2 from a professionally recognized or accredited training program.

You will need to submit proof of training by completing the AEFTP Online Application Form below.

Step 2

Receive a passing score of 80% or higher on our online EFT proficiency exam.

Note: The online exam is waived for those who received their EFT training from the Center for EFT Studies.

This is a timed 90-minute, 50-question exam to ensure sufficient fundamental knowledge of the tapping technique and how to successfully perform EFT with clients.  Exam criteria will encompass classic EFT tapping points, identifying SUDS, and exploring core issues, as well as the understanding of techniques such as Tearless Trauma, Tell the Story, the Movie Technique, Touch and Breathe, and the Choices Method.  You will have two attempts to pass the exam per application.

Step 3

Submit evidence of having successfully completed a minimum of 12 individual EFT sessions with at least 6 different people within the past 12 months.

Note: The session notes are waived for those who received their EFT training from the Center for EFT Studies.

These sessions can be in-person or Skype-based and can be either paying clients or those you have practiced with during your training.  You may document your sessions using our Session Notes Documentation Form below.

Step 4

A Skype-based, real-time, 30-minute interview with the AEFTP Executive Director or an AEFTP Board Member demonstrating your proficiency of EFT.

Note: The online interview is waived for those who received their EFT training from the Center for EFT Studies.

Once all of the above steps have been completed, you will be contacted to schedule this interview.  The interview will encompass the performance testing of the basic skills and techniques included in the online exam through a simulated practitioner/client environment.  You will have two attempts to pass the proficiency interview per application.

Electronic signature of the AEFTP Code of Ethics.

The final step in approving your membership is your online signature of our AEFTP Code of Ethics.

Once you have been approved and you have paid your annual membership dues, your account will be switched over to an official Member Account where you will be able to create your profile, submit your directory listing, write EFT testimonials, and more.  You will also be eligible to use the official AEFTP Member Seal and credentialing letters on your marketing materials.
